Faster modeling tools:
- copying: You can now model even faster
than before: create multiple
copies in one go and move
objects by simply picking
out the origin and as many
destination points you want.
- reinforcing bar splitting: You can split the reinforcing bar groups to detail reinforcements more efficiently.

 |
Improved component technology
- We have developed the custom components technology to make the components faster and easier for everyone to use.
- password protection
The custom components include
password protection to ensure that
users can protect the components
they have developed.
Improved components
- There are several improved components available in Tekla Structures 13.
|
|
 |
New drawing list
- The new drawing list makes the browsing and sorting of drawings quicker and more user-friendly.
|
Reaction and appearance
- Intelligent drawings open faster and react to model changes more automatically. They also provide clearer graphic information about changes.

 |
Greater flexibility of GA appearance
- The General Arrangement (GA) drawings now have automatic dimensioning and fully customizable view labels as well as section and detail symbols.
Assembly drawings
- The assembly drawings work faster than before and contain more automatically created information: associative tags that support the dimensioning of parts and plate side marks.
Cast unit drawings
- The cast unit drawings are now quicker to produce, and you can modify the appearance according to your own purposes.

Reference model improvement:
- support for filtering It is now quicker to select filters for reference models, and easier to find the relevant objects that you are looking for.
Better model information:
- IFC 2x3 support Tekla Structures 13 is IFC 2x3 certified and supports the interoperability with IFC 2x3 compliant architectural software, such as Allplan, ADT, ArchiCAD, Bentley Architecture and Revit.
Improved multiuser functionality:
- see who is online Advanced multi-user management allows you to see the status of the other project team members.

|
Visualizing project progress
- The 4D feature now included in Tekla Structures configurations lets you visualize project progress.
Improved communication with steel fabrication
- Material information system exports now support sequencing. The plate nesting has new options. The DSTV files have been improved.
Improved integration with precast manufacturing
- Tekla Structures integrates with production control and automation systems, such as ELiPLAN ERP, iNetto and Unitechnik. It can write and update a data file and read in its status and dates.
